Buddy is a happy two year old with a very sweet disposition. His foster parents believe he would be just fine around young children as he is very tolerant, gentle and loves to play.  Buddy does not like to be alone and needs the  companionship of another dog or an owner who is home all the time. He is easily trainable, responding well to 'no' and waiting to get on furniture until he is given permission. 

Buddy likes to get into human food if there is an opportunity (typical basset!), and can be a tiny bit territorial of his dog food towards other dogs, but not people. He also is really interested in shoes, not doing them damage but liking to take them and hide them in various places in the house and yard. 

This handsome fellow is up to date on all his veterinary care and is housetrained.
