About Golden Gate Basset RescueGolden Gate Basset Rescue (GGBR) rescues Basset Hounds from abusive, abandoned, and unwanted situations. We do not have a kennel or shelter, so there is no physical location to go and see our available dogs, but you can learn about them here on this site and contact us for additional information and find out how to meet them. GGBR is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization. We exist solely on donations. GGBR takes orphaned bassets into foster care, in volunteer homes, where they are loved and cared for until permanent, forever homes are found. We provide veterinary care, including necessary vaccinations, spaying, neutering, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick prevention. Our hounds are always microchipped. Our wonderful volunteers spend time with the dogs to evaluate them, deal with any behavioral issues, and restore them to full health with good food and love. That means we know a LOT about our dogs... which helps us match the right dog with YOU once you have an approved application on file. |
